A temazcal is an experience similar to that of a sauna. Below is some important information for you to know about this experience;

- The temperature will gradually increase depending on how much heat the participants desire to receive.
- The ceremony lasts between approximately 1.5 hrs and 2 hrs
- This activity is not recommended for people with high or low blood pressure, spinal problems or pregnant women.
- During the ceremony the guides will serve you teas made with scented herbs such as chamomile, mint, etc. or a mixture of various herbs.
- This ceremony is performed within the structure of the temazcal, which resembles an igloo made of stone. You will be sitting on the floor for the entire time of the ceremony and occasionally you may be invited to lye down.
- Some people physically react to heat, but it is not common.
- It is reccomended that participants do not eat large meals within 1 hour of the ceremony.
